Hey Loves! F & J here!

We feel like there has been so much negativity in the media, and it makes our hearts hurt. We just wanted to make a post of some things you can do to spread kindness and love. There will never be enough kindness in this word. We want to do our part to make others day, whether that be something small or big, but we believe an act of kindness can go a long way.

Here is a list of small things you could do that could change somebody’s mood for the whole day:

Buy a coffee for the person in front of you- We know that coffee is already expensive for what it is, but spending an extra $5 to cover the person’s coffee in front of you is a small amount to pay to make someone’s day. Whenever we have had it happen to us, it puts a smile on our faces, and we usually try and pay it forward and do it ourselves.

Bake cookies for someone you know, or don’t know – Everyone can have a sweet tooth once in awhile, but what makes them even sweeter is when you receive them from a pure heart. Surprise a friend or a co worker. Or if you’re feeling extra spontaneous you can always drop them off at a local retirement home or fire department.

Give extra flowers to a local hospital- If you are attending a wedding anytime soon and are close with the bride and groom, ask them what they are planning to do with flowers. There are usually too many to take home, and they usually just toss them out. Ask them if you can take them and donate them to a local hospital. They give them to recovering patients and the beautiful flowers get to live longer. It’s a win win.

Write a note- Leave a note for someone you care about letting you know how much you care for them, and we can guarantee it will make them smile. And it’s super inexpenive if not free.

Donate used clothes- Whenever you go through your clothes instead of tossing them, give them so someone who would use them. We like to find places that don’t resell clothes but donate to them in need. Like a women’s shelter, or to a charity collecting to help those affected by natural disasters. Also donate bras too, they are high in demand!

Use manners- Simply asking a person how their day is going, or saying please and thank you can go a long way. It sounds so elementary and simple but in our rushed lives it is something easily dropped.

Go out of your way to let the people you know, that you love them too. Sometimes we often forget to let the people we care most about know how much they mean to us. It sounds silly but just call them, or send them a text, even a sweet note in the mail. People love to know they are thought about and cared for. Usually an act of kindness causes people to want to pay it forward, or at least spread a little happiness in their future interactions. You also don’t know what that person is going through, and can change the whole course of their day, even week.

Most important just be kind. It costs nothing to be a good person. We can all be sweeter, and treat everyone as equals, because when it comes down to it we are all just skin and bones living our lives.

Let us know in the comments below what you do to be kind, and spread happiness.

Love,

F & J
