Travel Tuesday – Santorini

Hey Loves! F & J here!

This Travel Tuesday we are off to Santorini, Greece! F has always wanted to go to Greece, and J would happily go any day of the week, and we choose Santorini because it looks absolutely gorgeous! Santorini is in the Greek Islands and has plenty of beaches, and you know we are suckers for beaches. Because of its volcanic past they have white, red, and black beaches!

The city looks just like we picture in our minds when we think of Greece, Mama Mia anyone?  There are so many ways to enjoy your stay. You can spend your days on the beach, at the spa, on a boat and even on a donkey!

One of the more popular activities to do while in Santorini is to visit Ancient Thira. Most of the surviving buildings are from 4 B.C. and were excavated in the late 1800’s. How cool would it be to spend a day exploring the world that people lived in so long ago!

Also, we would like to note all the delicious food that you could enjoy while you visit!

We plan on finding ourselves here one day and can’t wait to share that experience with you.

How To Keep Healthy Hair This Winter

Hey Loves! F & J here!

Winter is one of the most beautiful seasons, especially in here in Seattle. But there is no doubt that it is COLD. This year the season seems to be bringing us especially cold weather. It is important to make changes to your beauty routine to make sure that you are protecting yourself from the cold weather. The cold weather can be harsh to our skin and hair and the last thing we want to do is cause damage that would take a whole season to repair. So we put together some tips and products we use to keep our hair shiny and healthy throughout the winter season, that can be carried on throughout the rest of the year of course.

Since the cold dries our hair out we always use It’s A 10 Miracle Leave in Product. It leaves our hair frizz free and even better tangle free. It also protects and heals damaged hair. Its a bit of a splurge but the bottle lasts a while and it’s totally worth it!

Of course wet hair and cold weather is not a good mix so for the next few months the hair drier becomes one of our good friends. But the heat can be damaging so we use Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer. This product is an absolute favorite! It not only protects the hair but it cuts hair drying time significantly. Who doesn’t love hitting that snooze button one more time?!

The coldness definitely dries the scalp out and sometime can leave us with dandruff and who wants that? One product that has actually worked for us was dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse. The smell is quite strong but not unbearable, but if you can get over that it removes dandruff as well as leaves your hair super shiny and smooth. To avoid a smelly head we suggest using it before shampooing and conditioning like normal.

If you feel like you just need a complete hair renewal our favorite go to is coconut oil. We usually just put it all over our hair and scalp and let it soak for at least and hour. It is a bit of pain to get it washed fully out of your hair but it is so worth it. (We suggest a clear paraben free shampoo… it helps).Your hair will be so soft and so renewed! We can guarantee that you will love it!

… and of course hydrating yourself with water is a great way to keep moisture through out your body!

Stay Warm,

Travel Tuesday – London

Hey Loves! F & J here!

Another Travel Tuesday! This time we are off to London! We have both always wanted to go to London. We don’t know what exactly it is that draws us to it, perhaps it’s the fact that the weather seems to be very Seattle-ish. It is somewhere that we are planning to go soon. Which is super exciting!

We want to see the London Bridge, Big Ben, and the London Tower. Though J may not be able to ride the London Eye since she may or may not have developed a small fear of Ferris Wheels after riding Mickey’s Fun Wheel.

We would love to just wander the streets of London and visit the shops and eat at the local places. We just want to explore and soak in the London life. We do have a bit of an obsession with Harry Potter and it is totally possible we would find our selves seeing or doing something Harry Potter related! (Platform 9 3/4 anyone?) No judging, you know we all love Harry Potter!

We want to do the typical touristy things too. Riding the Double Decker busses, taking an  insta worthy photo with an iconic red phone booth, shopping at places exclusive to the Brits, having a good cup of tea (we are avid tea drinkers), and indulging in all the sweets we don’t usually get to enjoy over in Seattle.

We would also completely not mind listening to the boys with their accents all day long. We are total suckers for a man with an accent.

We are both dreaming about the day we get to go. If there is anything you think we need to do when we go please let us know!

Hey Loves! F & J here!

We know we haven’t posted yet in 2017. We have been busy working. To start off we hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and had a blast welcoming in the new year.

It’s that time again where everyone is making resolutions and trying to stick to them. F started calling them “resolutionists” and it is a term that has stuck. For example, we couldn’t find any parking at the gym because of all of the resolutionists.

We don’t put ourselves in that category as we both didn’t make any resolutions. We do have goals for 2017, our mail goal being as it was last year that we want to just work on continuing to make ourselves the best we can be. Resolutions vs. Goals. We find that thinking of them as goals is one of the most helpful things we can do to power through and make them a reality.

We have 365 days this year to achieve our goals. We will take lots of steps forward, and of course some backwards. We definitely aren’t perfect. But we will continue to move forward and this time next year we hope we will have come a long ways.

Let’s make 2017 our best year yet! Who’s with us?
